ABOUT
The Journey of a Rainbow Warrior
Dr. Cornelius van Dorp MB, ChB, Dip Obst, FRNZCGP, FDRHMNZ, at your service. I am a GP and rural hospital emergency physician with 36 years of clinical practice in rural New Zealand and Australia, Antarctica, and the Oceans of the planet under my belt.
The first 7 years of my career, from whence came the title of this website, were spent working on and off as ship’s doctor and Antarctic base doctor for Greenpeace, out of which came three books; the Crystal Mission trilogy. What inspired me above all to continue this voluntary sparsely paid work, was the legend of the Rainbow Warriors, seen in the dream of an old Cree medicine woman named Eyes-of-Fire, in which a tribe of people of all colours, creeds, races and religions would arise to save the Earth from destruction and bring in an era of Peace for ALL the grandchildren.
From 1994 to 2020 I lived in the Far North of New Zealand - te hiku o te ika - the Tail of the Stingray - where I had my own General Practice with Obstetrics for 7 years, then worked as a KMMS (Kaupapa Maori Medical Services) Officer for a large Maori Health provider for five years, before moving back to Rural Hospital and Emergency medicine in 2006. From 2006 to 2021 I have continued to work in rural Hospital Emergency medicine, in both Australia and New Zealand, taking lots of breaks to go travelling over the last few years, and also taking lots of time on the night shifts to create a record of the journey, creating a total of 14 books of my own, as well as 50 books of transcriptions exploring Plasma science.
